N. K. Jemisin fell into a conversation on Twitter about how the quality of a story can be affected by it’s diversity (or lack thereof). In her own words, she was about to begin an online lecture, when she remembered that not only did she have a deadline tapping on her shoulder, she’d also already given this particular lecture:
