Fantasy author Evan Winter stops by to talk about his debut epic fantasy The Rage of Dragons, the first of four novels encompassing a new world and a new magic system used in a world perpetually at war, and based in the peoples, art and myths of an African perspective.
Evan talks about the lands of Osonte and Xidda and the different peoples that inhabit the lands, how the war has continued for so long, all while slowly teasing out how the magic the Gifted wield may work. And yes, those dragons. He also talks about the appeal of fantasy storytelling, and passing that love of stories on.
