Fantasy author Django Wexler stops by to talk about Ashes of the Sun, the first in his new “Burningblade & Silvereye” epic fantasy trilogy.

He talks about building the world around a philosophical divide about the magic and the magic users in the world, and how a pair of siblings end up on either side of the war raging around them. He also talks about his writing process, and working through going from being a pantser to a serious outliner.

Django also has an story in the upcoming “The Empire Strikes Back: From a Certain Point of View” collection, due out in November 2020. Note: the previous volume was wonderful, and I can’t wait for this new one. And if anyone’s interested in having Django on as a guest to discuss (or argue) Star Wars, reach out to him on Twitter!

Ashes of the Sun will be available on July 21 from your favorite book retailers.
