Debut crime thriller author Andre Hardy talks about TEAR THE CITY DOWN, and how his love of reading led to his journey to discover writing and how an MFA program honed his ability to tell that story.
He talks about his love of reading, of jazz, and noir stories, and how his journey through and beyond being a professional athlete shaped this story and its characters. Andre praises how the MFA program showed him a path to be a better reader and a better writer, and applying those lessons to building the stories he wants to tell in better ways.
And Andre’s a big Edgar Allan Poe fan, so I felt it was an imperative to let him know about the International Edgar Allan Poe Festival (Oct 2-4 2026, Baltmore MD)
TEAR THE CITY DOWN is in bookstores September 1, and a Book 2 already nearly complete.
