Edgar Award-winning and New York Times Bestselling thriller author T. Jefferson Parker stops by to talk about Then, She Vanished, the latest novel in his Roland Ford private investigator series.
Jeff talks about the differences between writing thrillers in the 70s and writing them today, choosing to go with elements familiar with the times while still separating the signal from so much news and social media noise to find that story to tell, and much more.
He also teases that his next novel is not in the Roland Ford series, but is a coming-of-age story set in Laguna Beach in 1968, where a teenage boy goes on a search for his missing sister in the world of sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll. Keep an eye out for the new book in 2021.
Jeff also shares some of what he and his family have been watching during their lockdown, and shoot him a few suggestions of new things to check out.
