Colin Dickey stops by to talk about his new book, The Unidentified: Mythical Monsters, Alien Encounters and Our Obsession with The Unexplained, peek into several categories of these stories, as well as a larger look at human tendencies to believe in the unusual and irrational.
His exploration shifted from looking at the actual fringe theories into examining the phenomenon of how belief in conspiracy theories persists through time despite the advances in technology and communication, and statistics seem to indicate that belief in many of these pseudoscience claims and fringe theories is on the rise.
