Mystery and Fantasy author Ausma Zehanat Khan stops by to talk about her acclaimed series, “The Khorasan Archives”, and the concluding fourth volume, The Bladebone.

She talks about blending the stories and people of her own culture into a fantasy story that speaks to her and about her, including designing a magic system that highlights the power of the word and in the words, and using that to build a system that reflects the strength of the women and history and myths she grew up with, and more.

Ausma also talks a little bit about the the background and the protagonist of the mystery stories she writes, plus her love for crime fiction and her love of reading in general.
